Which level should I do?
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines: Introduces students to wine and grape varieties, and food pairing. Perfect for industry beginners or those who want to be able to read a wine list.
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines: If you have an understanding or interest in wine but no formal training, this is also a good place to start. Learn about different growing conditions around the world and learn how to taste and describe them.
WSET Level 3 Award in Wines: An advanced course. You will need to have completed WSET Level 2 Award in wine (or have equivalent knowledge). It’s not easy and will require lots of studying outside the 30 hours of class time!
Can’t make it to an in-person class?
Bacchus Academy offers a 100% online option.
All you need is a webcam, smartphone or laptop, good internet connection and suitable space.
Wine samples will be sent out via Australia Post

Russell worked in management roles for Negociants for over 15 years and then he started his own company – Russell Gehling Wines in 2007. He represents Australian, New Zealand and European producers.
