Mitchell Millen

Mitchell Millen grew up in the Adelaide Hills in a family who loved good food and wine. His first passion was AFL football, but after retiring from one too many concussions, he was able to explore his interest in the wine industry. He started selling wine over the phone for Accolade Wines, which then led him to accept a field sales position for Accolade Wine in 2020 prompting a move to the Sutherland Shire in Sydney.

Since then, Mitchell spent two years working for Samuel Smith & Son/Negociants Australia and now works with Principal Wine. He enjoys working with a diverse portfolio including exciting up-and-coming producers both domestically and internationally. Mitch also does some work as a hospitality consultant, where he writes wine lists for multiple restaurants and runs staff trainings to ensure the implementation of the new wine program is a success. In December 2022, Mitchell completed the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines. He plans to undertake the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wine in 2025 and looks forward to teaching as a part of the Bacchus Academy team.

He loves drinking Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc from around the globe. Outside of wine he enjoys playing cricket, running, and listening to true crime podcasts.
