Russell began his life as a teacher of Science, Biology and Physical Education.
After eight years, his love of wine got the better of him so he studied winemaking at the famous Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia.
On moving to Melbourne, he landed a job working for Negociants. He had found his niche selling premium European and Australian wine.
After sixteen years, a new challenge was needed so he began his own distribution company - Russell Gehling Wines.
Whilst working in Melbourne, he was teaching WSET courses for The Prince Wine Store.
Russell brings a wealth of experience in both wine and teaching. We are delighted to have him as part of our team.
His love of the sun brought him to the Sunshine Coast where he is very happily settled working for The Wine Tradition and teaching WSET Levels 1 and 2 in Wines at our Noosa location!
