Sharon Wild

Sharon Wild DipWSET is a wine educator, writer and communicator with more than 30 years of experience across the Australian and international wine industries. Passionate about making wine approachable and engaging, Sharon has taught everyone from enthusiastic beginners to wine professionals, delivering WSET courses alongside corporate tastings, masterclasses and industry events.

Her career has spanned wine retail, marketing, brand management, wine judging and education. Sharon has worked with wineries in Australia and overseas, managed a portfolio of Italian wines across the Asia Pacific, consulted for a French Riviera superyacht provisioning company, and held brand management roles within the Australian wine industry. She also reintroduced WSET courses to Sydney in 2001, helping expand access to internationally recognised wine education.

A respected wine judge and Len Evans Tutorial Scholar, Sharon has contributed extensively to wine media through feature writing, copywriting and tasting panels. She is also the founder of Wild About Wine, where she shares her passion for wine through education, events and engaging wine experiences.

Sharon holds the WSET Diploma in Wines and is driven by a lifelong passion for learning and sharing wine knowledge. Her teaching style is informative, practical and approachable, helping students develop both confidence and a deeper understanding of wine, whether they are beginning their journey or advancing their careers.
